Sarafino Sea Salt

Meet Gucciardo Vincenzo

This salt is produced in a saltwork called ‘Maranella’ or ‘chiusa’ which was built in 1540 and is located in the nature reserve of the WWF in Trapani, Sicily. Gucciardo uses nature’s elements such as the evaporation of the sea water, the sun and the wind. The salt is collected and packed by hand following traditional methods. It is not washed and does not undergo any chemical treatments and it maintains all trace elements.

It is unrefined, sun-dried and mineral rich!
