• To whom this reaches 😊 I wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of your company’s amazing risotto varieties. I've been a consistent buyer of Sarafino risotto packs since I found them at the local grocery store here in Woodbridge, Ontario and I really can't imagine cooking up much else. My favourite flavour is the porcini mushroom, curry and the rosemary risottos! It is evident that you guys put love into your products- they are unique, healthy, and tasty! I just wanted to contact you and say that the extra mile you guys go is much appreciated in my family, and I wanted to say thank you!!! Thank you and have a great day!

    Simply Delicious!

  • ~Letter written to a magazine~
I am writing in the hopes of drawing your attention to a company called Sarafino that specializes in true olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well as other treasures. Their marketing materials are gorgeous and their tag line is, "Food should be good for your body and your soul. Feed both."
I met Angelo (the president I now realize) this weekend at Rainbow Foods in Ottawa and was completely blown away at his dedication to quality and real food. He gives his parents a lot of credit, but he is obviously thoroughly invested. Knowing that someone cares so much about real food and putting it within our reach is comforting as well as inspiring.
His olive oil is delicious and his balsamic vinegar pours like syrup. Sarafino sells products from his grandmother's groves in Italy as well as products from the "exceptional artisans" they partner with. His products can be expensive; reflecting the "hard work" (as he describes it) that has gone into their production. He also drew us into the wonder of it all - how to read an olive oil label, how there used to be 10 months in the year before Julius and Augustus each created a month to honour themselves (that relates to the name of one of his oils, Otto), how real balsamic vinegar was a resident of the medicine cabinet before being seen as a drink reserved for special occasions, and how the centuries-old aging barrels used to be given as dowry and have women's names marked on them.
All to say, I would love to see Sarafino and its founders featured in VIVA. Here is the company email and website: eat@sarafino.com if you would like to investigate this idea further.
    All my best,

    Hi Cathy,

I wanted to share an interesting event that I experienced a couple of weeks ago. I woke up one morning with a horrible ringing in my both my ears. No idea what it was and I still don't. In any event, my wife suggested putting a couple of drops of the new oil in my ears. I remember as a child getting earaches and grandma's remedy was warm oil in the ear with a cotton plug, but this was not an earache. Nothing to loose I agreed and, you know what's coming, within 45 minutes the ringing was gone completely. Perhaps coincidence, but I rather stick with the romantic, we love Aspro on everything.

    Best Regards

  • In my travels over the past 20 years I have had the privilege of traversing across many parts of the globe experiencing the finest in cuisine. Sarafino products represent  the very finest in craftsmanship. Close your eyes and you taste the terroir, the sea and the blazing sun, bringing you back to the south of Italy each and every time.

  • Hi Angelo,

Today was a very special day for me and my wife as we had the incredible chance to meet you. We learned a lot and what you mentioned triggered a very strong motivation in learning and applying more about healthy food and lifestyle as well as getting more knowledge about the system that governs the world we live in. I really like the idea of getting a better control of my epilepsy in a natural way rather than increasing medications. Thanks again,

  • Mr Tramonti;
Having learned so much from your product ambassador at Whole Foods Market, Markham, this afternoon, I feel compelled to write a thank-you. Previously, I had no idea there was so much to know about balsamic vinegars or so much variety, as demonstrated through his informative taste samplings. As I told him, it was as if he has a PhD in balsamic.
His enthusiasm in sharing his knowledge  - and the samples in his cart - was infectious.  You have a great product representative who deserves every credit for performance excellence. I only wish I knew his name, but I assume you will know who was at Whole Foods Markham this Saturday afternoon.
Thanks again. I look forward to continuing my education through your website.

  • Hi Angelo,

My son and I were at Yummy's Market in Vaughan this past December and met you at your demo. I believe it was also your birthday that day and hope it was a great one.
We sampled and purchased a bottle each your Aspro EVOO and Acetaia La Bonissima brand of the balsamic vinegar. WOW - what a difference!  For example, my salads are tastier and even simply dipping both with bread is amazing.  I've recently discovered by lightly tossing freshly made hot air popcorn with your EVOO and a little balsamic vinegar, it's now the only way I will eat popcorn.  I have to pace myself when I watch the first 5 to 10 minutes of a movie or television program - I could easily eat the whole bowl up in no time.
All in all my kids and I are benefiting in the quality of your products that's well worth the price. Grazie!
Wishing you and your family continued success of Sarafino, and the best of 2014. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
    Kindest Regards,

  • Hello Eve-Lynn!! My name is Christine! I hope you’re having a great week!! I was at Niagara on the lake about a month ago and I went into a condiment shop and saw your truffle mustard and thought I had to try it! And try it I did and MY OHHH MY!!!! I LOVED IT!!! It was one of the best choices I had ever made!!😊 It is two of my favourite ingredients in 1 jar, I want to put that stuff on everything!!! I love it just on its own on some good bread. 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 I am sad to say that it is pretty much done and I’m savouring the last little bit that’s left at the bottom of the jar.😩😩😩😩😩 So needless to say I need to buy more but I’ve been searching if there’s anywhere in Vaughan (or Woodbridge) that I can purchase it??? Oh how I so hope there is!!! 🙏🙏 Please make my day and let me know how to get my hands on some before I go through withdrawal!!! 😳 Kindly and desperately,

To Whom It May Concern,

I didn’t know who to send this email to, so I picked what I thought were the best choices.

I’m in love with your tomatoes.
My partner often brings home a rotating selection of tomato purees.  Since I no longer often crave red pasta sauce, I usually ignore it or if the glass is sitting there half-used, I reluctantly find some way to use it as an ingredient.
One fine day I was testing an already opened bottle of your puree for freshness, when before I knew it, I had literally drank all of it, straight from the bottle.  It tasted like I remember tomatoes tasting.  Or maybe how I imagined them to taste when other people said this.  When soils were richer, varietals were wilder…
A long time ago I saw a euro film where a man reminisces about lettuce washed in sea water then used as a salad.  Even though I had never tasted that precise combination, I could definitely imagine it.  Garden-fresh lettuce is a somewhat similar experience, so are fresh tomatoes.
While I’m still not a spaghetti person, this experience led me to try your cherry and plum tomatoes.  Holy mackerel.  Its like candy for me.  I go through a jar a week, I pick them out like a special snack or use it as a side dish for protein.
What a stunning product.  You brought tomatoes back to life for me again as a year-round option and as a sauce, thank-you so much.  And I can’t believe you are canadian, very cool!  FYI I get your tomatoes at Whole Foods, Oakville.

It’s absurd how delicious this vinegar is. Never had anything like it.

That’s all,
