Did you know that you can naturally boost your body’s ability to detox? This colourful Spring cleanse salad is full of liver-detoxing ingredients that are sure to put a ‘spring’ in your step.
Ingredients
- 1 small box organic arugula
- 1 handful of broccoli sprouts (or any microgreen of choice)
- 1/2 English cucumber
- 1 small bunch radicchio
- 1 rainbow turnip (substitute with radish)
- 1 orange turnip
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 3 stems green onions
- 1 small blood orange
Zalata Dressing
- 2 tbsp zalata spice mix
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup Sabino Leone La Patraun Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp pepper
First, toss all salad ingredients together in large bowl. Then, in a separate bowl, mix all dressing ingredients together and drizzle generously on top of salad. If you are new to bitter greens or radicchio in a salad, we recommend a sweet component to balance the taste: add sweet crisp apple or hard pear, or dried fruit (figs, cherries, barberries, currants, or chopped dates). Your insides (and your tummy) will be feelin’ good!
